In summer 2017 we launched Ambery. Our modern jewelry with natural amber seems to have been appreciated by women all over the world. Today the major part of our sales is made in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other regions of Russia, as well as abroad – in the US, Germany, Israel, China and Japan. Nevertheless, in our collections we mainly focused on amber, we feel that in the future we definitely would like to try new ideas and combinations. Amber will still remain the cornerstone of our jewelry story, but today it will have a new name, not limited to its «amber» side. Leta is the same jewelry pieces with an architectural history, the same neat style and the same impeccable service, the same website and the same best team in the world. But with a new name.
Our new brand name has lots of meanings, and all of them are cool. :- ) Apart from pleasant associations with the season (in Russian «leto» means summer), and its presence in ancient Greek mythology, Leta is synonymous with self-confident, inspiring and beautiful girl. We can say that the character of our logo has finally found its name.
To make this change more subtle to the current and future customers, we decided to do the following: at first you will see the name Ambery by Leta on our website, social media and offline resources, but later it will be turned into a simple and laconic Leta.
Thank you for being with us! Soon our new collection will be revealed, and new stores will appear in several cities and countries. Stay in touch!
Modernism is a kind of mix of art deco architecture, constructivism and avant-garde painting, transferred to our pieces. Developing took about six months, and it was a complicated but very interesting process – first sketches, close interaction with jewelers, understanding all those uneasy specifics of working with amber, also selection of suitable stones and materials.
Currently there are no more than two hundred Baltic ringed seals in the Gulf of Finland, and forty years ago the region was inhabited by several thousand species. The subspecies are on the brink of extinction here in the Russian Federation, and if we don’t take urgent measures, these rare sea mammals will disappear from the Gulf of Finland. Our charity project along with the Friends of the Baltic Seal is a great chance to tell about the existing problem and possible ways to solve it.
Since the beginning of our story, we have been thinking about the necessity of having an ajustable chain lock on our necklaces and pendants. In the case of a pendant on a chain, it is a matter of aesthetics as to how you want to wear your favourite piece – tighter to your neck or closer to the decolatte. It is different and more critical in the case of a necklace as it could turn out to be too big or, the opposite, be so small that you couldn`t easily fasten it.
Leta is committed to completely zeroing its carbon footprint by 2028. This will be achieved by eliminating paper, reducing energy consumption in manufacturing and stores, using electric transport for delivery, and participating in sustainable forest management programs.
